The Honorable Robert Henneke is the Executive Director and General Counsel at the Texas Public Policy Foundation.

Before joining the Foundation, Robert served as the twice-elected Kerr County Attorney where he brought conservative values to county government. Robert began his legal career serving as an Assistant Attorney General in the General Litigation division under the leadership of Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott. Robert has appeared on national news shows, such as Fox News, Fox Business, MSNBC, and others. His commentaries have been published in USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Fox News, Forbes, The Washington Examiner, The Hill, and other national publications.

He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Federal District Courts in the Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern Districts of Texas, and the Eastern District of Michigan.

Robert received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. He earned his undergraduate degree in English Literature from Georgetown University. Robert graduated from Tivy High School in Kerrville, Texas. He lives in Austin with his wife Lesley and their two sons and is an Eagle Scout. Matthew G. Whitaker was acting Attorney General of the United States (2018-2019).  Prior to becoming acting Attorney General, Mr. Whitaker served as Chief of Staff to the Attorney General. He was appointed as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa by President George W. Bush, serving from 2004-2009. Whitaker was the managing partner of Des Moines based law firm, Whitaker Hagenow & Gustoff LLP from 2009 until rejoining DOJ in 2017. He is also Of Counsel with the Graves Garrett law firm.  Whitaker appears regularly to discuss legal and political issues on Fox News, Newsmax and other news outlets.  He splits his time between Iowa, Florida and Washington, D.C.
