BREAKING: Biden admin opposes bill that would require proof of citizenship to vote

On Monday, explosive news broke that the Biden administration published a press release stating its position against the SAVE Act, a Congressional bill that would require voters to provide proof of citizenship in order to vote.

With less than four months until the election, the timing could not be more convenient.

The Biden administration stated: "The Administration strongly opposes H.R. 8281, the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act... The alleged justification for this bill is based on easily disproven falsehoods."

MAGA Republicans and Constitutionialists alike were in uproar allover X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

In a very "Patriot Uncensored" post, viral conservative aggregator End Wokeness wrote, "Holy sh**. The Biden administration just came out against the SAVE Act, a bill to ensure that illegal aliens can't vote."

Conservative journalist Kyle Becker also chimed in:

The bill, introduced by Republican Senator Mike Lee (Utah) and Republican Congressman Chip Roy (Texas), seeks to ensure that only U.S. citizens participate in federal elections by requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration.

Mike Lee's website states:

"The SAVE Act amends the National Voter Registration Act, setting requirements for states to verify U.S. citizenship. It outlines acceptable documentation for proving citizenship and requires states to set up alternative verification processes for citizens without standard documents. Additionally, the legislation compels states to purge non-citizens from voter rolls and establishes federal penalties for intentionally registering non-citizens."

It continues, "Illegal immigrants and non-citizens across the nation are being improperly registered to vote, allowing them to cast illegitimate ballots in federal elections."

"At a time when trust in voting is more important than ever, we must stop foreign election interference and pass the SAVE Act. Voting is both a sacred right and responsibility of American citizenship, and allowing the people of other nations access to our elections is a grave blow to our security and self-governance. I’m proud to stand with Chip Roy to save our democratic process and representative government."

"Secure elections are a key cornerstone for any representative government; without them, we won't have a country,” said Rep. Roy. “Radical progressive Democrats know this and are using open border policies while also attacking election integrity laws to fundamentally remake America. That's why I am proud to introduce the SAVE Act with Speaker Johnson and my Republican colleagues, along with the invaluable support of citizens and organizations that recognize we must end the practice of non-citizens voting in our elections.”

The SAVE Act is cosponsored by: Senators Kevin Cramer (R-ND), Ted Cruz (R-TX), Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), Roger Marshall (R-KS), Ted Budd (R-NC), John Kennedy (R-LA), and Rick Scott (R-FL).
